Education Internationalization Team Overview

The Graduate School of Humanities at the University of Osaka is a partner institution in the Erasmus Mundus (EM) Euroculture Programme (Master's Program) Consortium, with the Disciplinary Network in the Humanities responsible for the management of the EM Programme. This program primarily facilitates student and faculty exchanges between the University of Osaka and the eight European universities that form the consortium (※).

(※) The University of Groningen (Netherlands), the University of Göttingen (Germany), the University of Deusto (Spain), the University of Udine (Italy), Jagiellonian University (Poland), Palacký University Olomouc (Czech Republic), Uppsala University (Sweden), and the University of Strasbourg (France).

Specifically, we accept around five graduate students from the above eight universities every fall and winter semester and offer five courses in English on topics such as European and Japanese thought, history, and culture. The University of Osaka's masters course students can also participate in these courses, providing a valuable opportunity to study alongside international students from the same program. For The University of Osaka students studying abroad, we provide support with the application and selection process for scholarships for the program.

In addition, each year, we welcome one or two faculty members from the eight consortium universities to deliver special lectures and participate in other events. Likewise, one or two faculty members from our graduate school visit a consortium university for a short-term stay, engaging in academic exchange through lectures and other activities.
